What is an immediate denture?
Prior to extraction, Jaro will take an impression and specific measurements of your existing oral situation.
Together, you and Jaro may determine the size, colour, and shape of the teeth that will be used in your new denture.
The finished immediate denture is inserted after your tooth or teeth are extracted, usually while your mouth is still frozen.
An immediate denture is an excellent alternative to being without your teeth because your smile is restored directly after your extraction. An Immediate denture will also protect the sensitive gum tissues at the extraction site and works like a bandage to:
- Control swelling and allow the healing to progress
- Help keep the gums and tissues free from debris and food that may cause irritation.
- Prevent dislodging of extraction site blood clots that are necessary for healing.
